Hello beautiful people!
Happy Good Friday. How has everyone’s week been so far? I can’t believe that it’s already nearly April… where does the time go?! They say time flies when you’re busy doing stuff, and for me I have definitely been keeping busy! Between working full time, studying part-time, helping Josh run his business, keeping on top of my health routine and starting this blog, I’ve been quite the busy bee. It hasn’t been too bad though – it’s definitely a manageable workload especially with all of the extra energy I’ve had lately. It’s crazy what you can achieve with the right tools: a healthy diet, regular exercise routine and a positive mindset.
So, welcome to my second blog post. Since I’m new to this whole blogging thing, I thought it would be a good idea to keep this post light and fun by doing a “Get to know me” post. In hindsight, it would probably have been more relevant to post a recipe for healthy hot cross buns or something along those lines, but hey… it’s all part of the learning process.
Hopefully after reading this post, it’ll give everyone more of an idea about who I am, what makes me tick, what makes me happy, what makes me sad and other irrelevant details I’m sure no one really cares about. 😉

Aquarius. Shout out to all the astrology lovers out there! They say there’s no science to astrology but every time I read my star sign it’s LEGIT – what’s with that?!

10. How many tattoos/piercings do I have
I’m not quite sure how to count my tattoos… I have some smaller ones on different parts of my body and a nearly finished full sleeve. All of my tattoos are black-and-grey and the theme of my sleeve is centred around farm animals (“Friends not food”). As for piercings, I have my ears double pierced and also my belly button.
11. The reason I started blogging
To have a platform to share what I know about health and wellness… to educate and help others and to create a community of like-minded people.
12. How I feel right now
I’m feeling really, really good. The best I have ever felt in my whole life, actually. My energy levels are through the roof and I feel like I’m working towards achieving my goals. I just generally love where I’m at in life right now.
13. Something I really really want
I really want to be able to do what I’m passionate about – to educate and help others achieve optimum health and wellness through diet and lifestyle. This is something I’m actively working towards by studying a Bachelor of Food & Nutrition, listening to hours of podcasts, reading lots of books and working on getting this blog up and running.
14. My current relationship status
Engaged to my soul mate. Corny, I know. 🙂

It’s my first and last name. Nice and easy.

Moulin Rouge. Best movie, ever… giving me all the feels.

Ooh, that’s a tough one! There’s so many I love, especially our Australian bands. I really dig the heavy rock/metal-core genre so I’d have to say Polaris, Ocean Grove and Northlane… just to name a few.

Inequality, cruelty to animals, other peoples’ trauma and hardships (I’m a deeply empathetic person).
20. 3 Things that make me happy
Travelling, spending time out in nature, reading a good book (with a cup of tea in hand, obviously).

People who are warm, kind and genuine.

My best friends’, Sarah and Sam. Both currently living abroad.

24. My relationship with my parents
I have a really good relationship with my parents. My mum and I get along super well – she is such a calm, patient and warm person… traits that I value dearly in myself and in others. My dad and I are similar in that we are both very passionate about what we believe in… and we’re almost always on the opposite side of the fence for most issues, but there’s no love lost. I feel so blessed to have them as my parents.
25. My favourite holiday
New Zealand – our first trip overseas with just the two of us (Josh and I). We hired a car and drove down the South Island from Christchurch to Queenstown. It was in the peak of winter and we saw snow for the first time. Such a beautiful country… it was a magical trip.

Hmm, maybe Russell Brand? I would definitely love to pick his brain about his thoughts on spirituality, consciousness and politics.

I murder plants. I just can’t seem to keep them alive… kind of the opposite of a green thumb. Hopefully I can turn this around because I want to start a veggie garden in my backyard. Wish me luck!
29. 3 Things that annoy me easily
When things don’t work (technology, recipes etc.), dirty dishes, running late.

Probably a cow, or a pig.

My two fur babies Buddy and Nugget. They’re both English Staffies and I just love them so much!

How often I floss to the dentist.

Balancing all of the things I have going on at the moment.

Hmm. I know that there are so many, but literally nothing comes to mind… perhaps I’ve suppressed the memory of them all.

I work full-time as a Systems Support Officer in a software company.

Practising yoga every morning and afternoon, food prepping on Sundays, studying on my lunch breaks at work.

I have so many goals that I want to achieve, but my main focus at the moment is working towards becoming a functional nutritionist.

I love me some smashed avo on some sourdough bread, any day of the week! I’ve also been loving Buddha Bowls -especially the one served at Paw Paw Cafe in Woolloongabba (pictured above).

Woke up and did a 15-minute yoga practice. Prepared our breakfast smoothies. Got to work early and studied for an hour. Started work. Went to a cafe on my break and studied for an hour. Went back to work. Finished work and stopped on my way home to get a 30-minute back massage. Did a 20-minute yoga practice. Cooked dinner. Watched TV with Josh and worked on this blog post. Went to bed. 🙂

I’m really good at retaining information which is super helpful when it comes to studying.

Probably just dinner and a movie.

I have a major girl crush on Nikki Reed. I absolutely love everything she stands for.
